OSLO, Norway – Lundin Norway has permission to drill an appraisal well on the Luno II structure in the central Norwegian North Sea.
Following authorization from the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate, the semisubmersibleCOSLInnovator will drill well 16/4-11 in production license 359, 2 km (1.2 mi) southeast of the discovery well 16/4-6 S.
This will be the fifth well on the license, awarded in 2006, and which covers the southwestern part of block 16/1 and the northern half of block 16/4.
