TEL AVIV, Israel – Delek Group says that Israel’s Minister of Energy has agreed to extend the validity of the offshore Alon D license by 32 months, subject to the following conditions:
OperatorNoble Energy and Delek must make clear and in writing that there are circumstances in the area preventing drilling, and that there is no intention to recognize other future obstacles in the area as reasons to oblige further freezing of the license.
The partners must also conduct an environmental survey within 18 months, and confirm their commit to drilling within a reasonable timeframe from securing the go-ahead to do so.
