Petrobras has awarded DOF multiple support vessel contracts offshore Brazil.
The Skandi Jupiter and Skandi Mercury anchorhandler tug support vessels, both under management contracts with DOF, will operate as "AHTS 230t BP."
A similar competitive tender process earlier this year led to the contract covering Skandi Amazonas, Skandi Rio and Skandi Botafogo.
Skandi Jupiter and Skandi Mercury, both currently working in the North Sea region, will mobilize to Brazil after modifications to comply with Petrobras’ requirements.
Both contracts run for three years and are due to start by the second or third quarter of 2025.
Skandi Salvador, a Brazilian built and flagged multi-purpose supply vessel equipped with a 140-t AHC crane and two work ROVs, has been chartered by an unnamed EPCI-SURF contractor to support operations at Petrobras’ presalt field developments.
The 180-day firm contract is due to start shortly. The vessel has been operating at the Libra Field in the Santos Basin, with redelivery imminent.
Geoholm has started the contract until Skandi Salvador is released from its current commitments. The same contractor has awarded DOF Subsea Brazil a survey services contract on both vessels.
