SINGAPOREValeura Energy Inc. has wrapped up the acquisition of the Aurora FSO vessel from a subsidiary of the Omni Offshore Terminals group.

The vessel is on location at Valeura’s Nong Yao Field development in the Gulf of Thailand.

Previously Valeura had leased the vessel, but it decided to exercise an option to acquire it outright under a $19 million cash deal.

Owning, as opposed to a lease, should provide operational flexibility to optimize/reduce operating expenses, the company said.
