COPENHAGEN — Earlier this week, the first of Cadeler's M-class newbuilds, Wind Maker, from Hanwha Ocean Ship Yard was successfully launched.
The Wind Maker wind installation vessel will be delivered during first-quarter 2025 and will proceed directly to the first wind turbine installation project at the Greater Changhua offshore wind farm, according to the company's June 5 LinkedIn post.
Cadeler said the vessel is capable of installing "the next generation of turbines to the demanding offshore wind market."
The ship yard will now complete the commissioning, testing and sea trails.
