SINGAPORE – SOFEC has contracted Keppel Shipyard to fabricate a turret mooring system for the newbuild floating liquefied natural gas vessel bound for Eni’s Coral South project offshore Mozambique.
Work on the system will start during 1Q 2018, with delivery of the turret components expected to follow in 1Q 2020.
Keppel FELS Brasil’s BrasFELS shipyard has secured hull carryover work for theFPSOP-69 from Tupi BV, a consortium operated by Petrobras Netherlands.
The additional work scope includes installation of equipment and cables for the hull and commissioning of marine systems.
BrasFELS’ initial remit covered fabrication, integration, testing, and commissioning of the vessel’s topsides modules forP-69. These have been completed, and integration and commissioning are now under way.
TheP-69 is due to depart BrasFELS in 2018 for the presalt Santos basin. The vessel will have a production capacity of 150,000 b/d of oil and 6 MMcm/d of gas, with an oil storage capacity of 1.6 MMbbl.
