MONACOSBM Offshore says construction continues of the FPSOCidade de Saquarema, which will operate for Petrobras offshore Brazil.

Topsides commissioning is nearing completion at the joint venture Brasa yard near Rio de Janeiro. Delivery is scheduled for mid-2016. The charter contract for the vessel runs for an initial period of 20 years.

Last month SBM completed decommissioning activities onPetrobras’ FPSOMarlim Sul. The vessel will be marketed for future conversion opportunities elsewhere.

The company’sDeep Panuke production platform offshore Nova Scotia experienced a malfunctioning of its flare stack in March, and is currently shutdown for repairs.

These should be completed within a 120-day shutdown allowance, with no impact on day rate income.
