The company clinched a $90-million contract for three of these vessels in December last year. They are the first to be built in Brazil. The three UT722 design vessels by Rolls Royce Marine are used for supporting offshore platforms and FPSOs in the Campos Basin. They will be chartered to Petrobras for eight years, each taking 22 to 30 months to build. The first is scheduled to operate in 4Q 2003. Each vessel is equipped with winch capacity of 300 to 500 metric tons. At the Brasfels Yard, the $75-million tanker conversion of Stena Concordia into an FPSO, the P-48, for Halliburton Produtos Ltda is in progress. The vessel is undergoing dry-dock work, which is expected to take 70 days.
