Hughes Subsea signs full-year contract for CBED’s new SOV

CBED has signed a walk-to-work contract with Hughes Subsea for an offshore project.

FREDERICIA, Syddanmark — Three weeks after acquiring two new SOVs, Wind Evolution and Wind Creation, CBED has signed a contract with Hughes Subsea, a subsidiary of OEG Energy, for Wind Evolution’s first offshore project.

With this new walk-to-work contract, CBED secures full activity for Wind Evolution until early first-quarter 2025, with two additional one-year options to extend the project contract.

CBED will take delivery of Wind Evolution at the end of March 2024, where she will be drydocked for refurbishing, name change and painting.

Shortly after, Wind Evolution will bgin work on the new project for Hughes Subsea.
