MONACO  SBM Offshore has signed a 10-year framework agreement with Exxon Mobil covering operations and maintenance of four FPSOs on the Stabroek Block offshore Guyana.

These are the Liza Destiny and Liza Unity, both in operation over the Liza Field, and the Prosperity and ONE GUYANA for the Payara and Yellowtail developments.

The agreement establishes new terms related to operations of the fleet up to 2033. Lease terms and durations remain the same for all the floaters, with a 10-year lease for Liza Destiny and leases of up to two years for the others, after which ownership of the FPSOs will transfer to the client.

SBM Offshore said the contract would allow it to sustain local investments in people and infrastructure and deploy its digital and operational technologies to the Guyana fleet.

It estimates potential revenues of about $3 billion based on various operating and maintenance assumptions.

The company will operate the platforms through an integrated operation model, with the proposed organization involving seconding Exxon Mobil Guyana employees in certain key onshore and offshore positions.

The model should strengthen team efficiency and foster synergies between the two companies, SBM Offshore added.
