GLOUCESTER, UK — AIS do Brasil will supply ContraFlex insulation jackets for an FPSO to an unnamed Japanese company operating in Brazil.
The scope includes 400 sq m of thermal insulation for valves, flanges and pipes, and installation of the jackets after delivery at the location in the presalt Santos Basin.
Wilian Tenorio, AIS do Brasil´s ContraFlex sales manager, said, “Our new QR code technology was also important...this allows full traceability throughout and simplifies installation. It also allows the customer to easily track and make any replacements in the future."
The FPSO is designed to process 150,000 bbl/d of oil and 280 MMcf/d of gas, with fluids storage capacity of 1.6 MMbbl.
