OSLO, Norway— Dolphin Drilling has signed a new contract for its Blackford Dolphinsemisubmersible rig covering work for Peak Petroleum offshore Nigeria.
The new contract, which could extend the backlog by up to 485 days, is in direct continuation of a previously announced 12-month contract in Nigeria with General Hydrocarbons Limited (GHL).
Dayrate for the minimum firm period is $325,000, including the mobilization fee.
“We look forward to returning to revenue-generating operations in 2023,” said Bjørnar Iversen, ceo of Dolphin Drilling.
