Transocean has secured work for two of its ultradeepwater drillships offshore Brazil from an unnamed national oil company.

STEINHAUSEN, Switzerland Transocean Ltd. has secured work for two of its ultradeepwater drillships offshore Brazil from an unnamed national oil company.

Deepwater Corcovado’s four-year contract, estimated at $583 million, will start in the third quarter next year, in direct continuation of the vessel’s current program.

The three-year, $456-million contract for Deepwater Orion should begin in fourth-quarter 2023.
