Middle East operator takes Shelf jackup on long-term contract

Shelf Drilling has landed a five-year contract for its Harvey H. Ward jackup for operations offshore the Arabian Peninsula.

DUBAI, UAE  Shelf Drilling has landed a five-year contract for its Harvey H. Ward jackup for operations offshore the Arabian Peninsula.

Value of the firm contract period, due to start in late March 2023, and including mobilization, is about $192 million, with the option of a two-year extension.

The rig will first undergo an upgrade and contract preparation program in the UAE.
