The Aquamarine Driller jackup rig was built in 2009 by PPL Shipyard Pte Ltd. It is a DNV class and operates under the Panama flag.

HOUSTON — Vantage Holdings International has sold its wholly owned subsidiary, Emerald Driller Co. (EDC), to ADES for $170 million.
A further $34 million is payable in connection with rig mobilization and contract preparation cost.
EDC owns the Emerald Driller, Sapphire Driller and Aquamarine Driller jackups, which are all operating offshore Qatar.
In addition, subsidiaries of Vantage and ADES Arabia have entered agreements under which Vantage will provide support services to EDC for the three rigs operating off Qatar for a three-year period.
