SINGAPORE – Sembcorp Marine’s Tuas Boulevard Yard has completed the load-out and tandem lift of the topsides structure for Shell’s Vito FPU project in the US Gulf of Mexico.

Following load-out, the topsides structure was transported via the yard’s heavy-lift vessel Elite Prosperity and lifted onto the FPU hull using two goliath cranes with a combined lifting capacity of 30,000 metric tons (33,069 tons) and a 100-m (328-ft) hook height.

Sembcorp’s Brazilian yard Estaleiro Jurong Aracruz is performing modification and integration work on the FPSO P-71, which will be deployed at Petrobras’ Itapu field offshore Brazil. The vessel is due to be delivered in 4Q 2022.

The group is also continuing with pre-FID work on the circular Cambo FPSO which Siccar Point Energy aims to deploy west of Shetland. Sembcorp anticipates FID will follow soon.
