Glomar Wave to support offshore wind ROV campaigns

BRISTOL, UK Rovco has chartered the DP-2 service operations vessel Glomar Wave from Glomar Offshore.

The vessel will support the company’s ROV projects at offshore wind farms in both UK and German waters.

On the vessel, the company will operate its Seaeye Leopard work-class ROV system and a second observation class ROV. The team will perform a multitude of detailed subsea IMR tasks, on a 24-hour basis, with a wide array of cable tracking and ROV tooling available, including its intelligent data collection system SubSLAM X2.

The 66.44-m (218-ft) long Glomar Wave features a wide deck space of 300 sq m (3,220 sq ft), a deck load of 5 mt/sq m, and three cranes for multi-purpose operations. Built in 2014, the vessel provides accommodation for up to 60 personnel.
