Petrobras books two support vessels for programs offshore Brazil

Petrobras has taken two Solstad Offshore anchor handler tug supply vessels on long-term contracts.

SKUDENESHAVN, NorwayPetrobras has taken two Solstad Offshore anchor handler tug supply vessels on long-term contracts.

The Far Sagaris and Far Statesman will support E&P activities offshore Brazil over a three-year period.

Both will sail under the Brazilian REB Flag and will be equipped with work class ROVs for operations in up to 3,000 m (9,842 ft) water depth.

The contract, which takes effect from September, is valued at more than NOK 800 million ($84 million), excluding the ROVs.
