Two Prosafe rigs prepare for UK North Sea support jobs

STAVANGER, Norway – Prosafe has five offshore accommodation support rigs either in service or under contract, the company revealed in a status report.

The Safe Caledonia, presently laid up in UK waters, will start a 162-day contract in mid-April for Total supporting work at the Elgin complex in the UK central North Sea. There is an option for a 30-day extension.

During 2Q, the Safe Zephyrus will mobilize to the same sector for an 80-day program for Shell at the Shearwater complex, again with a 30-day extension option.

After completing a Special Periodic Survey, the Safe Concordia has started working for Equinor in the Campos basin offshore Brazil, supporting maintenance and safety services at the Peregrino FPSO. The 120 days carries up to 60 days of options. The Safe Notos and Safe Eurus remain on long-term duty for Petrobras.

The Safe Boreas is laid up in Norway, and Safe Scandinavia and Regalia are also idle. Prosafe expects to complete an agreement to sell Safe Bristolia for recycling by February.
