Total charters Solstad vessels for Lapa project

SKUDENESHAVN, NorwaySolstad Offshore will supply a platform supply vessel (PSV) to Total offshore Brazil under a 13-month firm charter contract.

The contract carries options for two six-month extensions.

Starting this month, the AHTS Far Sagaris will be the lead-in vessel until a PSV from Solstad’s fleet takes over later in the year. The vessels will support activities on the Lapa field development, where Total’s partners are Shell, Repsol Sinopec, and Petrobras.

Also offshore Brazil, Equinor has extended contracts for the PSVs Far Scotsman and Normand Serenade by three months until November.

Earlier this month, Solstad subsidiary Farstad Supply sold the 1999-built PSV Far Star.
