OSLO, Norway — Equinor has permission from the Norwegian Ocean Industry Authority (Havtil) to use subsea facilities serving the Phase 1 Kristin Sør development in the Norwegian Sea.
The consent covers seabed installations, pipelines, control cables and associated modifications on the Kristin semisubmersible platform, southwest of the Åsgard Field complex.
Kristin, discovered in 1997 in 370 m water depth, has been developed with four subsea templates and 12 production wells tied back to the platform for processing. Production started in 2005.
