CALGARY, Canada – Production from the Jacky field J01 well in the UK Outer Moray Firth has stabilized at around 3,120 b/d of oil.
According to operator Ithaca Energy, this follows successful replacement of a dual electric submersible pump system with slightly larger pumps, providing greater operational flexibility and prolonged run life.
The well had been producing around 2,800 b/d prior to the loss of pump-assisted flow.
As for Athena, Ithaca’s other current field development project in the UK central North Sea, engineering and modifications to the FPSO have been completed at the dry dock facility in Dubai. These involved extending the BW Athena vessel by 65 ft (19.8 m) and installing a turret docking system.
The vessel has since been re-floated ready for installation of new power generation and water injection modules later this month. First oil is scheduled for this fall.
