Petrobras selects FMC for Cottonwood

FMC Technologies, Inc. says it has received an order from Petrobras to supply subsea production equipment for their Cottonwood project in the GoM.

(US, GoM) - FMC Technologies, Inc. says it has received an order from Petrobras to supply subsea production equipment for their Cottonwood project in the GoM. The order includes supply of two 15,000 psi horizontal subsea trees, production controls, along with project management and engineering services.

The Cottonwood field is located in Garden Banks block 244 in water depth of 2,200 ft. Petrobras America, Inc. has an 80% interest in this discovery and is the block operator, with Mariner Energy, Inc. as the partner with 20% participation in the project.
