HOUSTON — TotalEnergies has contracted TechnipFMC to supply subsea production systems for the CLOV3 development in Block 17 offshore Angola.
This is the first contract under the companies’ new framework agreement, which covers subsea trees for brownfield developments in the block.
The CLOV3 contract includes Subsea 2.0 trees and associated controls, umbilical termination assemblies, jumpers and services.
TechnipFMC’s Subsea 2.0 products incorporate standardized components that are pre-engineered and qualified, allowing the equipment to be quickly configured to the project’s needs. The company claims this approach is beneficial in terms of engineering, supply chain and manufacturing processes, speeding the time taken to first oil and/or gas.
