SINGAPORE – Jadestone Energy Inc. has finished a program to replace subsea umbilical cables at the Montara complex offshore northwest Australia.
The cables are part of the control system for the subsea wells, providing electrical power and control signals to the wellheads, and the replacement umbilical should ensure reliable operations for the remaining life of the field.
Previous operator PTTEP had identified this task as a high priority, but the work ended up being deferred due to the change of operatorship.
DOF Subsea’s Skandi Hercules performed the installations, completing work infield at Montara last weekend.
