OSLO, Norway– Royal IHC has contracted TMC Compressors (TMC) to deliver a complete marine compressed air system to the integrated reel-lay vessel it is constructing for Subsea 7.
TMC’s scope of work includes the provision of a marine compressed air system, including 2 x 84kW water cooled compressors, 3 x air cooled air dryers for control and working air. The equipment will be shipped from TMC’s headquarter in Oslo to Royal IHC in the Netherlands.
The contract value is undisclosed.
Once finished, the high specification vessel will be capable of installing complex rigid flowlines including pipe-in-pipe systems from shallow waters to depths up to 3,000 m (9,842 ft). Delivery of the vessel is planned for early 2020.
