Norwegian vessel operator wins two North Sea contracts

ExxonMobil has awarded Simon Møkster a three-month firm (plus options) contract for the Stril Mermaid.

STAVANGER, Norway – ExxonMobil has awarded Simon Møkster a three-month firm (plus options) contract for the Stril Mermaid.

This will be used as a storage vessel in connection with decommissioning of the Jotun B platform in the Norwegian North Sea.

In the southern Norwegian North Sea,Aker BP has declared a one-year option for the Stril Mariner, a Havyard 832 design built in 2009, which is operating at the Ula/Valhall area.

The vessel is certified to NOFO 2009 with oil recovery equipment, including booms and skimmers, and a Daughter Craft to perform oil spill recovery operations.
