Aker BP has exercised the first of eight one-month options with Prosafe to extend the charter of the semisubmersible support rig Safe Scandinavia in the southern Norwegian North Sea.

LARNACA, Cyprus – Aker BP has exercised the first of eight one-month options with Prosafe to extend the charter of the semisubmersible support rig Safe Scandinavia in the southern Norwegian North Sea.
Last August the rig started a seven-month firm assignment at the Ula platform and will now continue at the location through the end of April.
