KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia— Jadestone Energy (Malaysia) has contracted Velesto Drilling to provide its NAGA 2 jackup for its East Belumut infill drilling program.
The $6.1 million award covers four firm wells with work starting in the current quarter. NAGA 2 is an independent-leg cantilever jackup with a drilling depth capability of 30,000 ft, operable in water depths of up to 350 ft.
Velesto Workover has a letter of award from ExxonMobil Exploration and Production to provide services for its 2023-2024 workover and plug and abandonment (P&A) campaign.
Terms cover supply of one hydraulic workover unit, Velesto's GAIT 6, with the two-year contract set to take effect in the current quarter.
GAIT 6 has maximum pulling and snubbing capacities of 460,000 lb and 225,000 lb, respectively, for rigging up on offshore platforms to perform well workovers and P&A operations.
