MONACO — SBM Offshore’s third Fast4Ward-design FPSO, Sepetiba, has departed the BOMESC shipyard in China for Brazil, after completion of the topsides integration and onshore commissioning phases.
The vessel is heading to the deepwater Mero Field in the Santos Basin, where it will operate for a consortium headed by Petrobras.
SBM Offshore has a 22-year lease and operation contract for the Sepetiba FPSO, which is designed to produce up to 180,000 bbl/d of oil with storage capacity of 1.4 MMbbl.
