OSLO, Norway—BW Offshore has agreed to sell the FPSO BW Opportunity to an unnamed party for $125 million.
In parallel, the company is assessing commercial principles for providing engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning as well as operations and maintenance services to the buyer over a five-year transitional period.
The vessel, converted in 2007, had an oil process capacity of 35,000 bbl/d; gas handling and water injection capacity of 350 MMcf/d and 31,500 b/d respectively; and a 900,000-bbl storage capacity.
