KONGSBERG, Norway — Developer Pelagic Wind Services has awarded Kongsberg Maritime a NOK300 million (US$30.24 million) contract for design services and equipment for two new construction service offshore vessels (CSOVs) at Cochin Shipyard in India, due to be delivered in 2025.
Both CSOVs will be built to Kongsberg Maritime’s UT 5519 HL design, which has been upgraded in terms of operability, safety and lowered fuel consumption.
The equipment package will include a hybrid propulsion system driving permanent magnet azimuth thrusters, ship automation, deck machinery, power electrical systems, instruments, bridge consoles and ship monitoring systems.
