Hyundai Heavy Industries has commissioned GTT to design equipment for a new floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU1) on behalf of Excelerate Energy.
PARIS, France—Hyundai Heavy Industries has commissioned GTT to design equipment for a new floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU1) on behalf of Excelerate Energy, an LNG company.
GTT will design the tanks, with a capacity of 170,000 cu m. They will be equipped with the company’s Mark III Flex membrane containment system.
The FSRU is due to be delivered in second-quarter 2026.

The Mark III membrane system is a containment and insulation system, directly supported by the ship’s hull structure.
