CGG subsidiary Sercel has sold a marine seismic acquisition system to South Korea’s HJ Shipbuilding & Construction for use on a new 3D/4D seismic research vessel.

MASSY, France — CGG subsidiary Sercel has sold a marine seismic acquisition system to South Korea’s HJ Shipbuilding & Construction for use on a new 3D/4D seismic research vessel.
The contract scope covers supply of a Seal 428 recording system, including Sentinel streamers, a Nautilus streamer positioning system and G-Source II high-performance impulsive sources.
Sercel’s package, to be delivered in the first half of 2023, will be fitted to the R/V TAMHAE3 vessel designed for the Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources.
