ATHENS, Greece — The Energean Power FPSO has departed Singapore and is sailing toward the Karish gas field in the Mediterranean Sea offshore Israel.
Operator Energean expects Karish to deliver first gas this summer.
The company added that it has signed a new 15-year agreement to supply up to 0.8 Bcm/year from the development to the East Hagit Power Plant partnership (Edeltech Group and Shikun & Binui Energy).
EH Partnership was the winning bidder for Israel’s IEC East Hagit tender process, the third IEC power plant in a series of four to be privatized.
Energean is working to fill the FPSO’s entire 8 Bcm/year capacity.
