HELSINKI, Finland – Cargotec subsidiary MacGregor will provide two FPSO offloading systems for CNOOC’s Liuhua 11-1/4-1 redevelopment in the eastern South China Sea.
It follows the company’s delivery of the mooring system and riser pull-in system for CNOOC’s Lingshui 17-2 project in the west of the sea.
The offloading systems should be delivered to Offshore Oil Engineering’s yard in Qingdao, China, in January 2023.
This will be China’s first cylindrical FPSO, with a weight of 60,000 tons. The offloading systems will be designed to store either a 16-in. catenary hose or a 16-in. floating hose, allowing flexibility with shuttle tanker selection.
In each case, the rated oil flow is up to 3,600 cu m/hr (127,133 cu ft/hr). The two sets of offloading systems share a common hydraulic power unit, with the redundant solution intended to improve operational efficiency.
