Offshore staff
ABERDEEN, UK – Investment provider Partners Group has agreed to acquire offshore support vessel owner North Star from Basalt Infrastructure Partners.
North Star, based in Aberdeen, has a fleet of 48 emergency response and rescue vessels (ERRVs) and service operation vessels (SOVs) and around 1,400 employees.
The company claims its ERRV fleet is the largest in Europe, providing crew rescue, firefighting, and other emergency response services to the offshore oil and gas industry in the North Sea.
Its SOVs transport technicians to offshore windfarms and to accommodate them over extended periods.
Partners Group aims to develop the company into a leading pan-European offshore wind infrastructure services specialist, in part through expanding its offshore wind fleet and broadening its offshore wind offering.
