DUBAI, UAE – Chevron has awarded Shelf Drilling contract extensions for the two jackups working in the Gulf of Thailand.
Both will take effect at the end of each rig’s current contracts with Chevron in the region.
In the case of Shelf Drilling Chaophraya, the extension is 39 months (from Q3, 2022) and for Shelf Drilling Krathong, 36 months (from Q4,2022).
David Mullen, Shelf Drilling’s CEO, said both rigs were purpose-built for Gulf of Thailand drilling activity.
