SCHIPHOL, the Netherlands – The topsides lifting campaign for the FPSO Liza Unity has been completed at Keppel Shipyard in Singapore, according to SBM Offshore.

Since the vessel came out of dry-dock in October 2020, more than 26,000 tons of topsides were safely lifted in position.

All efforts are now focused on further progressing and completing the integration activities and gradually ramping-up the onboard commissioning activities, the company said.

The FPSO Liza Unity is SBM’s first Fast4Ward design.

This will be the second FPSO at the ExxonMobil-operated Liza field in the Stabroek block offshore Guyana. The Liza Phase 2 project remains on schedule for first oil in 2022.

The FPSO Liza Unity is designed to produce 220,000 b/d of oil, to have associated gas treatment capacity of 400 MMcf/d and water injection capacity of 250,000 b/d. The vessel will be spread moored in water depth of about 1,600 m (5,249 ft) and will be able to store around 2 MMbbl of crude oil.
