Noble selling five cold stacked floaters

LONDON Noble Corp. has issued an update on its offshore drilling rig fleet.

Independent Oil and Gas has awarded the jackup Noble Hans Deul a five-well contract in the UK North Sea. It includes two one-well options. The contract is expected to run from March 2021 to May 2022.

Qatar Gas has extended the jackup Noble Mick O’Brien’s contract to late August 2021.

Esso has awarded the drillship Noble Tom Madden a six and a half-year contract extension offshore Guyana. It is expected to run from mid-February 2024 to mid-August 2030.

At the end of the month, Saudi Aramco will put the jackup Noble Roger Lewis on standby for up to 365 days.

The drilling contractor has warm stacked the jackups Noble Sam Turner and Noble Tom Prosser in the UK and Australia, respectively.

In addition, the company has signed rig sale agreements for the drillships Noble Bully I and Noble Bully II and the semisubmersibles Noble Jim Day, Noble Danny Adkins, and Noble Paul Romano. The five floaters are cold stacked.

Going forward the company will report seven floating rigs and 12 jackups.
