Offshore staff
SKUDENESHAVN, Norway – Wintershall Dea has awarded Solstad Offshore a 10-well firm contract to support the semisubmersible West Mira’s development drilling campaign at the Nova field offshore Norway.
The firm period (around 30 months) starts in August/September and will be covered by the large platform supply vessels Normand Falnes and Normand Naley.
The Normand Falnes – currently undergoing reactivated from layup – also has an 80-day job supporting the semisub Scarabeo 8 on a well for Vår Energi in the Norwegian Sea, starting early next month.
Solstad subsidiary Farstad Shipping Pte has sold the 2003-built PSV Lady Melinda.
