Skyborn Renewables has completed its entry into two US east coast offshore wind projects.
The company has acquired a 50% interest from US utility Eversource Energy in Revolution Wind and South Fork Wind; Ørsted holds the remaining 50% stake in both projects.
Revolution Wind, currently under construction, is a 704-MW offshore wind farm that will send power to Rhode Island and Connecticut. It is due to become operational in 2026.
All output is contracted under 20-year power purchase agreements with Connecticut Light & Power (Eversource), United Illuminating (Avangrid) and Rhode Island Energy (PPL).
South Fork Wind, a 132-MW development offshore Montauk Point, New York, delivered first power earlier this year. It is fully contracted under a 20-year power purchase agreement with Long Island Power Authority.
