BOEM, Maryland extend offshore wind collaboration

The memorandum of understanding includes continuing current efforts to explore and identify potential areas for offshore wind leasing.

ANNAPOLIS, Md — The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) and the state of Maryland have entered a memorandum of understanding concerning the development of offshore wind energy.

This includes continuing current efforts to explore and identify potential areas for offshore wind leasing.

BOEM will also continue to convene the Central Atlantic Intergovernmental Renewable Energy Task Force with the state and other interested parties to address issues associated with the siting of offshore wind leasing areas.
