In January of this year, 23 Degrees Renewables, an OEG Renewables company, added a new cable pull-in package for export and inter-array cables to offshore structures. This new service assists during the construction and maintenance of offshore wind farms.

ABERDEEN, UK — OEG Renewables (OEGR) and Sojitz Machinery Corp (SOMAC) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on providing pre-construction, operations and maintenance (O&M), and vessel services to offshore wind projects in Japan.
The combination will draw on OEGR’s experience in offshore energy solutions with SOMAC’s in-country capabilities.
Japan seeks to install 10 GW of capacity by 2030 and up to 35-40 GW by 2040, including from floating offshore wind.
SOMAC is a trading company focused on equipment, materials and machinery used in steelmaking, chemicals, electric power, marine, electronic devices and other industrial sectors.
