Mooreast providing anchors for Eolmed floating wind turbines

Mooreast Holdings will supply anchors for the 30-MW Eolmed floating offshore wind farm development offshore Port-La Nouvelle and Gruissan in the Mediterranean Sea.

SINGAPORE — Mooreast Holdings will supply anchors for the 30-MW Eolmed floating offshore wind farm development offshore Port-La Nouvelle and Gruissan in the Mediterranean Sea, offshore southwest France.

The co-developers are Qair, TotalEnergies and BW Ideol.

Mooreast will collaborate with Bourbon Offshore to supply and install the MA5S mooring drag anchors. These will each weigh up to 35 metric tons, with a holding power of up to 1,210 mt, and will connect three floating wind turbines to the seabed.

They will be Mooreast’s yard in Singapore and are due to be delivered by October.
