AALBORG, Denmark — The Baltic Power offshore wind farm co-venturers ORLEN Group and Northland Power have awarded Bladt Industries and Semco Maritime an EPCI contract.
This covers provision of the project’s two offshore substations. ISC Consulting Engineers has already completed much of the engineering scope for these and the monopiles and transition pieces, which Bladt will also supply.
Baltic Power is located 23 km offshore Łeba and Choczewo, and it will feature 76 wind turbine generators outputting up to 15 MW.
Each substation will be a 2,500-metric-ton steel structure supported by foundations and reaching about 20 m above sea level.
Final commissioning should take place early in 2026.
Earlier this week, TELE-FONIKA Kable (TFK) and JDR Cable Systems were awarded a contract with ORLEN Group and Northland Power for the Baltic Power wind farm in Poland. Together with partners NKT and DEME Offshore, they will design, manufacture and install 340 km of land and subsea cables, enabling the project to provide clean electricity to more than 1.5 million households in Poland.
