Equinor and Polenergia have contracted DNV to perform certification of their Baltyk II and Baltyk III wind farms.

OSLO, Norway – Equinor and Polenergia have contracted DNV to perform certification of their Baltyk II and Baltyk III wind farms in the Polish sector of the Baltic Sea.
Each will have a capacity of 720 MW, with the electricity exported to the Polish transmission grid, operated by TSO Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne. And both wind farms will have offshore substations.
DNV’s scope includes delivery of certificates for the wind farms related to design, fabrication/installation/commissioning and operation in compliance with relevant laws, regulations and codes.
Certification will apply to the wind turbine generators, offshore substation platforms, inter-array cables and offshore export cables.
