SCHIEDAM, the Netherlands — Havfram Wind has contracted Huisman to supply auxiliary cranes for two NG-20000X-HF wind turbine installation jackup vessels under construction at CIMC Raffles Shipyard in China.
The consignment will include a 40-mt fully electric pedestal mounted crane to be located on the port side of the vessels, allowing Havfram Wind to perform tasks onboard, as well as offboard operations (e.g., lifts to the turbine foundations), to supply vessels or to the quayside when in port.
These deliveries are in addition to the 3,000+ mt main leg encircling crane the company recently ordered from Huisman, with the latter now having six cranes on order for Havfram Wind`s vessels.
All will be constructed at Huisman’s facility in Zhangzhou, China.
