Semco Maritime expands offshore wind service capability

Semco Maritime has an agreement to acquire Wind Multiplikator, a German provider of operations and maintenance of offshore wind farms, engineering and consulting services.

ESBJERG, Denmark— Semco Maritime has an agreement to acquire Wind Multiplikator, a German provider of operations and maintenance of offshore wind farms, engineering and consulting services.
The transaction includes all activities of the group’s offshore service subsidiary OWS Off-Shore Wind Solutions.
Wind Multiplikator Group has 250 employees based in Bremen and an operational center in Emden, providing over 25,000 sq m of indoor hall space and 28,000 sqm of storage space.
A 167,000-sq m holding area at the service hub for offshore wind farms gives direct access to the North Sea via a 450-t gantry crane.
The combination with Semco Maritime will create a service business with 455 employees operating across the offshore wind service value chain. Following the transaction, the newly acquired group will be re-named Wind Multiplikator powered by Semco Maritime.
