FairWind to support Vesterhav wind turbine assembly

FairWind will handle pre-assembly work for Vattenfall’s Vesterhav Nord and Syd offshore wind farm developments in the North Sea at the Port of Esbjerg.

VEJLE, Denmark— FairWind will handle pre-assembly work for Vattenfall’s Vesterhav Nord and Syd offshore wind farm developments in the North Sea at the Port of Esbjerg, western Denmark.
The company will be responsible for the pre-assembly erection of 41 Siemens Gamesa’s SG 8.0-167 DD turbines. Each direct drive (DD) turbine will have a power generating capacity of 8.4 MW.
The wind farms should be fully operational by year-end 2023, with a combined capacity of 344 MW.
